The AWA 2012 World Convention was held in the RIT Inn & Conference Center, Rochester,NY from Aug 21 to 25. The main topics were Collins Radios and The Titanic. As I just participate on 23 and 24th, I will leave my impressions for these 2 days. The equipment contest, book fair, seminar and presentations were just an outstanding success. Although very well organized, general participation and the flea market were a bit disappointing. Well, it is the third time I participate in this Convention and I have never seen so few tables in the parking lot. In my previous participation, in 1996 and 1997, the huge parking lot used to be totally crowded of people and tables, and we could purchase pretty much anything related to the hobby, including parts as grill cloth, cotton covered wires, tubes from several sellers, and a lot more.
Let's hope for a much better participation in the 2013 convention.

Although the flea market had maybe a little more than 12 sellers when I got there, I still made some nice new acquisitions:
