Today we had the monthly MAARC meeting at Davidsonville, MD. The show and tell was special with lots of interesting histories.
From the auction I got a GE model 422 radio, a Rider's Troubleshooter number "II", some philco loctals, and another volume of the Zenith Service Manual. What a great day!

I already had an Ivory color Arvin 444A and today I added 2 new ones with different colors. I got those sets from a "junkers" box at the 2012 MAARC Radioacitivity, Jun 22. The restoration consisted in replacing all caps & out of spec resistors, some glue on both speakers cones, get original knobs (I got a pair of them just for the brown one so far), stripping, sanding, and refinishing the cabinets. I used enamel to repaint them. They are playing great and I think they are midget stars in my collection!

Addition to radio collection not on site yet as of Dec 16, 2012: an original set of Philco Service Data for sets from 1928 to 1937 from the auction.

A really neat Belmont Skyrover model 625 superhet radio year 1933 from Geoff and a Zenith AM-FM bakelite radio model 7H822 from 1948

This would have been a great acquisition if it was not a broken back. I will restore the plastic back lid but I don't know whem. Those are the brakes when getting sets from ebay.
