Radios from MAARC August monthly meeting

The 2 radios below, a Crosley 515A and a Philco 610 Tombstone, I bought at the tail gate of the Aug MAARC meeting, from Steve Hansman. Both in very good cosmetic condition and complete.

Below is the first Bendix I got for my collection. I like this radio specially due to its curved wood speaker grill. It will get a refinish soon.

This is a neat bakelite table model that has caught my attention at the museum 'for sale' shelves. No doubt, I bought it.

Two RCA Radiola 18 sets came in the lot I had the winner bid. The above was in a better conditions and the other was used the get parts either missing or in better condition. I believe its restoration will be soon.

The 2013 RadioActivity of MAARC - Mid Atlantic Antique Radio Club was held in Beltsville, MD from June 20th to 22th. Take a look at MAARC site to get more information about this annual event. This year I got some interesting radio sets, starting with an Atwater Kent Model 60 Kiel Table, an Atwater Kent horn speaker Type L, an Atwater Kent 84, a Zenith 5G500, Zenith R723, a Kolster 6D, Emerson DL330, Philco 38-10, Philco 41-220, Airline 84BR1517A, Airline 62-290, Crosley 855 Tombstone, and a Tower Pirate Ship speaker. Emerson CL 256 Stradivarius - from 1938/9 has a walnut Ingraham cabinet, that measures about 10.5×6.25×4.5", left curved bars grill, right bullet shaped dial, 2 knobs, and it is a highly sought after set.
